Resipi...Potato Cake

2 cups sugar
2/3 cup butter
2 eggs, separated
1 cup mashed potatoes
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter together, then add lightly beaten egg yolks. Blend in the mashed potatoes. Combine cocoa with flour and cinnamon and add alternately with milk in which the baking soda has been dissolved. Then add enough flour to make a normally thick cake batter. Add the nuts and fold in the egg whites that have been beaten stiff. Add the vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees until a toothpick stuck in the center comes out clean.
